Practise Climb 1 - Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge!!

The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge is a walking challenge route with the circuit normally starting and ending at Horton-in-Ribblesdale, visiting the three highest peaks in Yorkshire - Pen-y-ghent (691m), Whernside (728m), and Ingleborough (723m) - in that order. The total distance walked is around 25 miles, with the a Target time of 12 hours.

With the support of to of my Good friends Craig “Fester” Uttridge and Paul “Stred’s” Stredder, we did climbed a total of some 5,200 feet in 10 HOURS AND 15 MINS!!!

It was rough at the top of each of the peaks, with visibility down to about five foot in front of you… If it wasn’t for the Doncaster boy fester!! We would have been lost.

Surprisingly Sunday I didn’t ache at all and even made it to the Gym (thanks Shreds!)… the only pain I had was a huge blood blister on my right foot… and is that’s all I come out with from Kilimanjaro… I’ll be a happy man.

Not Long Now..

Although still almost 2 months away from the climb the support from all of my friends, work colleagues and corporate sponsors has been breath taking… and has made me more determined than ever to raise as much money as I can for this trip and be as fit as I possibly can for the climb.

Thank you again your money, equipment and support from all of my family friends and the coporate suppliers and sponsors below.

And so its starts.....

Well I'm under three months away from my Trek up Kilimanjaro Mountain.

All my kit has been ordered, I am up to training 5 days a week, have finished my climbforlife.co.uk website to help promote and raise money for the Entertainment Software Charity and so far have smashed my £3k Sponsorship target, I am now aiming to hit £7,000, by the time I leave.

All that’s let to do is quit booze on the 19th august – Now that’s going to hurt!! toughie.
